The deadline for fall 2018 submissions to Hard Freight, Penn State Altoona’s online student literary magazine, is Tuesday, October 30, 2018, at midnight.
From 4 to 6 p.m. on Sept. 6, Penn State will celebrate the importance of faculty to the teaching mission of the University during an event “Tribute to Excellence: Through a Photographer’s Lens” at the Nittany Lion Inn at University Park.

Penn State Altoona’s Ivyside Off the Rails: Glow On music and arts festival will take place April 22 at the Railroaders Memorial Museum in Altoona. Penn State Altoona student band The Roof will kick off the event at 6:30 p.m., followed by rock band New Politics at 8 p.m. and rapper Waka Flocka Flame at 9:30 p.m.
The exhibition of work, "Shelter," by Meghan Cox will run March 15 to April 17, in the Sheetz Gallery of the Misciagna Family Center for Performing Arts at Penn State Altoona.
